Happy 108th Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Yesterday was Dr. Seuss' 108th birthday. Jake and Alyssa were excited for days beforehand. They remember how much fun we had on his birthday last year. Alyssa asked where we were having his party and what kind of cake we were making for him. I probably would have made a Seuss-themed cake, but we were out of the house all day. Being gone meant that we couldn't spend the entire day reading the 50+ books we have, written as part of the Dr. Seuss brand (though we would have liked to!) Again, we had green eggs and ham for breakfast and read the corresponding book while they ate. We also read it the night before and again during the day. I think they just might like that one a little. Of course, we did read a handful of other Seuss books, and I even bought them a new one. (It's always exciting getting new books!)

Make sure to check out last year's Seuss day to see our favorite books and quotes. There are a lot of them!

Thank you, Dr. Seuss, for helping us make so many wonderful memories!
