Remember when I posted about our challenge to read the Bible through in 90 days? This past Sunday was the half-way mark! I am happy (relieved?) to report that we are right on track!
It has been a blessing doing this challenge thus far. I especially like discussing verses and passages with Leighton. Sometimes it's "Hey, what do you think about this?" other times he explains the verses to me. You catch so much more, remember so much more, when you're reading through such large portions at a time. Such as the first time I posted about the snail we caught and the foam it became. The next day he pointed out a verse he read that morning. "As a snail which melteth . . ." (Psalm 58:8) And it proves the verse we read yesterday, ". . . there is no new thing under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 1:9) Snails have been melting since "God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)
We still have a long way to go to complete our goal of reading the entire Bible through in 90 days, but it's not as overwhelming now. We know that the Lord is helping us make time each day to spend even more time with Him.
