1. Jake: "Good thing it's a bungee cord. It bunges."
2. Jake went running through the house and slid across the carpet on his knees. I told him to be careful, that he was going to get holes in his knees. After further explanation, he said, "Oh, I thought you meant holes in my real knees."
3. I was watching Batman, the TV show from the 60's, with the kids. In this episode, Robin was relaying a riddle from the Riddler.
Robin: "Which president wore the biggest hat?"
Jake: "The one with the biggest head!" I laughed at the cuteness of his innocence. Then I heard Robin give the "obvious" answer: "The one with the biggest head."
4. Making granola bars with the kids and trying to keep Jake from "stealing" the peanut butter chips and Alyssa from the chocolate chips.
5. Alyssa: "I don't like boys. They're mean. I only like Daddy."
6. I had my first appointment with my midwife (who I hadn't seen in almost 2 years!). It was good to catch up. The best part? I heard my baby's heartbeat! It doesn't matter how many times I hear that sound, it always bring tears to my eyes.
7. Jake: "Do lions live in the jungle?"
Alyssa: "No, lions live in the zoo."
Jake: "Mommy said they live in the savannah. Well, some live in zoos. Why? Is it so we can see all the different kinds of animals or so we know how good of catchers they (zookeepers) are?"
